Any toy with a clear face works beautifully — teddies, plush animals, dolls and character toys are perfect. The key is that the toy's eyes and mouth are visible and facing the camera, since that's what ToyVid brings to life. The video is built from the one photo you upload, so a clear, well-lit, front-facing shot gives you a brilliant talking toy. Here's how to nail it in under a minute:

• Show the face, straight on. Both eyes and the mouth visible, looking at the camera — not a side-profile or looking away.
• Get down to its level, fill the frame. Hold your phone portrait, at the toy's eye level, close enough that its face is large and sharp. Tap the face on screen to focus.
• Light it softly. Face the toy toward a window. Avoid harsh overhead light, flash, strong backlight and dim rooms.
• Keep the background simple and real. A sofa, a bed, the playroom floor — slightly lived-in beats perfectly tidy. Just the one toy in shot.
• Take a few, pick the best. Snap 5–6 and upload the sharpest, best-lit, most front-facing one.

Quick check before uploading: face visible and facing the camera, sharp focus, soft even light, portrait at eye level, simple background — you're ready. 🧸

• You upload the toy, never your child. ToyVid is for adults — the only photo we need is of the toy.
• You're in control. You provide your child's first name and choose what the toy says.
• We only use your details to make your video. We never sell your data.
• We use AI to create your video — and we don't use your photos to train our own AI models.
• We keep it so your share link keeps working, and you can ask us to delete your photo and video at any time by emailing [email protected].

Each video is a short clip of about 12 seconds. After you check out, it's usually ready in a minute or two — we'll let you know the moment it's done.

ToyVid is a one-off purchase — no subscription, ever. A single video is £3.99 (or $4.99 outside the UK), and a 3-pack is £8.99 ($9.99) — better value if you've more than one toy or child in mind. You'll see the price in your local currency at checkout, and one credit makes one video.

Each video is made to order, and you can preview the full message script for free before you pay — so you know exactly what you're getting. Because each video is generated specifically for you, it isn't refundable for a simple change of mind once generation has begun.

But we stand behind every video. If something genuinely goes wrong — it fails to generate, is corrupted, or clearly doesn't show your toy — email us at [email protected] and we'll re-make it or refund you. Any unused credits from a 3-pack can be refunded within 14 days.
